Dog Training In North Seattle

Training Walks - (Initial Pack of Five - 30 minute Walks to Start Service)

Is your dog or puppy finding it challenging to take their skills out and about in the neighborhood? Are you struggling to get them to respond to known cues - or even check in with you on walks? Maybe they are occasionally stuck, staring or alerting at a weird person or a strange noise?

Distractions like other dogs, running kids, little fury creatures and random urban noises can make dogs ‘forget’ things that their humans are sure they know.

Training walks are the perfect way to help your dog focus, shake off distractions, walk calmly by "scary things" and/or practice their basic manners skills out in the real world.

Training walks cover common skills and issues such as, sit, wait, loose leash walking, waiting at curbs, friendly greetings, preventing door dashing, ignoring distractions and mild to moderate leash reactivity - if your dog displays moderate to severe fear or reactivity when on walks or in your home, a behavior modification plan may be a more appropriate starting point. If you'd like to schedule a behavior consultation, click here.

Enrichment Visits (Initial Pack of Five - 30 minute Enrichment Visits to Start Service)

What are Enrichment Visits?

Enrichment visits are fun and often sniffy occasions where I will come to your home with various enrichment toys such as snuffle mats, puzzle toys, busy boxes/bags,  and stuffed kongs. Depending on your dog's preferences and what motivates them, we may also engage in trick training, shaping games, sniffy walks, dynamic fetch and/or nose work. These visits are a great way to help meet your dogs instinctual need for shredding, dissecting, chasing, jumping and hunting in a controlled and safely monitored way while you are working or otherwise engaged.

Schedule a Meet & Greet

What to expect at the Meet & Greet:

  • We will come to your home to meet you and your dog.

  • We will discuss the service you are interested in and your dog's routine and personality. We will ask questions such as:

    • What training has your dog had and what your goals are moving forward?

    • Do they display any guarding or reactive behaviors?

    • Are they comfortable with other dogs in close quarters -such as a van?

    • What is their play style? Ball obsessed, sniffer, wrestler, do they love a good chase?

    • Have they been on a long leash and how well developed are their leash walking skills?

  • If it sounds like we are a good fit for the dog park adventures for instance, we will schedule a trial run to see how they get along with the other dogs in our group. For other walking services we will get them on the schedule and get started right away.

  • This is also your time to ask us questions.

Thanks! We'll be in touch soon!
